13th Dec 2024 Newsletter
Hi all,
As always, thanks so much for coming to class/subscribing this week!
Line Dancing!
Wow, what an incredible way to wrap up the year! I say, wrap up the year, we still have 1 more week of regular classes to go, but I couldn't resist the use of the Christmas pun!
Our final line dancing sessions of 2024 were nothing short of amazing. Lessons learned from the first 2 classes made all the difference. This time, we cut one song but used that extra time to really dive into the choreography—and it worked like a charm! Everyone danced with so much confidence and energy, and the room was buzzing with good vibes.
One of the highlights for me was seeing so many familiar faces—the wonderful regulars who bring so much heart to every class. On top of that, we welcomed new participants and even a few people I hadn’t seen in years. It was like a joyful reunion on the dance floor!
Themed line dancing has turned out to be such a hit, and I’m thrilled to announce that it will be back next year. Keep an eye on your inbox because I’ll be sharing updates soon, including a Valentine’s special in February. Picture this: a playlist full of love-themed songs to set the mood—sounds fun, right?
Thank you all for making this new idea such a huge success. Your enthusiasm and support have been the driving force behind every step, shuffle, and spin. I can’t wait to see what next year brings. Until then, keep dancing! ❤️
See you on the dance floor in 2025!
Pilates Bingo
Pilates Bingo was an absolute hit! It’s not something we’d do every week, but it felt like the perfect way to bring a bit of fun to the end of the year—kind of like when you got to bring games to school on the last day of term. It was such a joy to see everyone’s excitement as they leapt up to cross a statement off their card, getting a little dopamine boost each time. I hope you all had a blast and still managed to get a good workout in between the laughter and bingo chaos! While this was a special treat, we’ve still got one more week to go, and yes, it’s time for the 12 Days of Christmas. I know you all groan about it, but I also know you secretly love it. Let’s finish the year strong and have some festive fun together!

U3A Class
If you’re looking for a lower-intensity class than Recycled Teenagers, I also teach a session for the U3A on Thursday mornings at 10am at Thornbury Methodist Church Hall. This class offers a mix of 50% standing work (similar to the gentler parts of Recycled Teenagers and some easy Barre Fitness routines) and 50% seated exercises, making it a great option for those seeking a lighter workout. The class runs during term time only, and payments are made per term—there isn’t a pay-as-you-go option. I’m not in charge of bookings for this class, so if you’re interested, check out the U3A page for more details and use the contact number provided there https://thornbury.u3asite.uk/u3a_groups/gentle-exercise/
Pilates and Barre Spaces
Pilates and Barre bookings for January 2025 will be opening soon! While I can confirm there will be some spaces available, I’m still finalizing which classes will have spots. If you’re interested in joining any of my Pilates or Barre sessions, get in touch to be added to the waiting list. This is the best way to secure a spot, as spaces tend to fill up quickly once they’re listed on my website. Don’t miss your chance to kickstart the new year with these fantastic classes!
